Major: Unknown (This Major's Salary over time)
Long overdue, since I admire this school so. I came to this school after flunking out another school that should remain unnamed. I made the decision before starting over that if I did not feel enthusiastic enough to apply myself in this school and failed my first semester, I would drop out of school altogether because it would be evident that college was just not for me. LaGuardia to the rescue! This school offered what was lacking in the previous institution that I attended; LIFE! I LOVED it here, and the faculty literally took me from the start and helped me pick a major that fit my interest. From my first professor, I was sold. After my first semester, I gained a 3.0 average. I maintained that average through my whole time at this school. The people here were so down to earth and so culturally diverse, I met someone new every semester. It FELT like a school. The resources were many. I think what shined in this school was the people. Now whether this drastic change could be completely credited to this school or if it was because I decided to make a huge change in my academic attitude, I cannot completely tell. But what I DO know is that this school motivated me to do better. I even received a great internship in Public Relations through this school. After earning my associates, I moved on to a four year. I'm about to earn my Bachelors by the end of the summer, But I still find myself missing LaGuardia. While I am proud of the education I received afterwards, I have to say, LaGuardia just had that X factor for me that made me wish it was a four year. If I have to sum it all up, LaGuardia saved my academic life.
