For MA Museum Studies in Florence, Italy. Be prepared: you will need to be pro-active if you want to receive a graduate level education or get an internship in Italy. You should take an Italian class or several, Italian is absolutely needed to function in society as a real student instead of a tourist, as well as find good research, as there are few english language sources available in libraries in Florence. The professors are highly knowledgeable. This program is best for younger students out of undergrad, without too much museum experience. The program is more of an overview of the museum professions, and is too general (repetitive) if you have a particular career in mind or have had more than one internship/experience in the real museum world. There is focus on art history. Be also prepared for Marist administrative problems. Otherwise, if you are serious about an international career, and put in the effort for societal integration in beautiful Florence, Italy, come on over.
