After being at Hampton for many years, I have been exposed to many things that I did not believe to be possible. Let alone at a higher education institution. While I was amazed by its aesthetic beauty, its inner soul quickly came out.

The Hampton run around is true! I saw it first hand everyday. It exists in every department, from athletics to the presidents office . When it could have been much easier and respectful to simply admit that they did not have the answer to your question. Instead, they give you an answer that has you running around campus talking to the gardeners, police department, registrars, the chapel, financial aid and finally, the cashier at the tropical smoothie tells you the correct answer.

The clean and safe social life is not as it is portrayed to parents when they drop off their sons and daughters. The constant use of drugs in the parking lots, binge drinking at the HARBORS APARTMENTS across the street.The late night getaway to the abandoned strawberry banks. Are all things that the university knows about, but does nothing. And I am talking about employees and students.

Student support of athletics is ridiculous. They make all students take UNIVERSITY 101, where part of your grade is determined by your attendance at home football games (MANDATORY). The students don't support the athletics teams, for the simple reason that THEY get special treatment. And they do. Change of grades to be eligible to play. I personally witnessed many forms submitted after finals.

I have had many friends trying to transfer out of Hampton, but could not, because no other institution accepted Hamptons credits. Very shocking to be honest. Their academic programs are a joke at best.

The list goes on, but I will stop there. Unless, I need to go further?
