I grew up in the Denver area and always wanted to go to DU because of its good reputation, small size, and location. There was a lot I liked about DU. You really do get a lot of one-on-one attention and as much help as you could ever need academically. There are tons of clubs and activities to join and cmapus living is great for this. My biggest complaint is more to do with the student body which is something that cannot be controlled. Of course since it is an expensive private university, most of the kids are rich. I wouldn't say snotty, but very close-minded about difference, even in classes meant to inform about these differences. As a minority, the diversity is missed but the university has many "student alliances" based on race, religion, and other traits that are considered minority here. I would only want to go to a more diverse school, financially and racially. It was hard for me to make friends and be able to keep up with certain actitivies b/c lack of funds. Not anyone's fault of course, just personal experience.
