I got exactly what I was looking for at Thunderbird. I wanted an international career. At Thunderbird I started to meet like-minded people from around the world, began studying Chinese and learning about int'l business. Based on the advice of fellow students and the faculty, I took a leave of absence and went to Taiwan where I started my business career in the computer industry. After returning and graduating in 1985 I became partners with a Hong Kong factory owner and set up a distribution business in USA. Later, I bought out my partner and expanded the business. When it became necessary to open a branch office in Taiwan, I used the services of a fellow T-Bird alumnni who happened to be the owner of Taiwan's largest executive recruiting company. He helped me hire excellent staff and the business became very successful. I love my career.
