I enjoyed the first 2 years here, but regret not transferring thereafter. I did well academically and enjoyed the social environment, but quickly grew bored with the campus and surrounding area. There is nothing to do here. Nothing culturally stimulating whatsoever. Most of the faculty are competent in their respective fields; however, much of the coursework is "dumbed down" and is not challenging or interesting. Many of my classmates could barely write a paper in the English language. If you wish to have a challenging academic experience and a fruitful social life with like-minded individuals, you may want to consider attending one of the larger, more selective universities in Illinois or out-of-state, or at least transfer there after 2 years and save a little money and get the general education requirements under your belt. While I have a Bachelor?s degree now and a great career, I do have some regret about not getting out sooner and experiencing a truer college experience. Every decision the University makes seems like a joke. As I understand, the selectivity of admissions and general quality of the campus, including safety, has deteriorated further since my departure. I sincerely hope this does not lessen the value of my degree. Pros:
