All things considered, my experience with Weber State University and the academic faculty have been rewarding and beneficial in my professional career. Being a single mother I had to work extremely hard and sacrifice for my degree, lucky for me I received an excellent education from my instructors. I'm grateful for the departments that properly function at WSU.

Unfortunately my positive outlook on WSU has been damaged by the Education Access and Outreach Department. While trying to help my son receive assistance to pursue an education past high school. Since he lives with his father I'm the only one who is hoping he'll pursue college. While meeting with Education Access and Outreach Department I have never met with people who are more condescending, disrespectful or reckless regarding how they interact with people they are apparently trying to help.

If you are a parent or young student looking for guidance to continue your education, I recommend you proceed with caution. I understand that many of us don't have equal opportunities or options, but this shouldn't give people like Ruth Stubbs, Betty Sawyer or Suzanne Aragon the ability to treat struggling people as a liability or a nuisance.
