Was wondering if you can do us a huge favor? We are visting UOP on WED Aug 21 driving up from LA and learned that UOP is not having any Campus Tours due to move in week…do you think you can please show my son and i around campus, we wont take more than 1 hour of your time to show us around and pick your brain regarding UOP, my son also wants pre-med but will go the business route with the prereqs for dental school. Well i hope we can work something out i really would appreciate it as its better than the self guided tour where we just look at maps. Well thanks for your consideration |
Major: PreDent and Dentistry (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a predent student here. Let me just say that UOP is one of the best decisions you can make if you are aiming to get in and get out. IF you're going to college with the purpose of getting a job quickly then this is the place to go. Imagine becoming a dentist in 5 years! The teachers are pretty good. There are some bad ones. The kids here are nice and its multicultural. Not that many snooty kids and everyone is friendly. There are a bunch of very weird kids though, must come with the intelligence haha. Staff is always there to help. That being said the life here can get pretty boring if you don't find something to do. Stockton is a terrible place to wander around but the school is very safe. My advice is make a very good bunch of friends that you can hang out with all the time and you will never be bored. Students are very competitive and the classes are not easy at all. Around at least 1/3 of the class will drop in sciences to prevent failing. The school is very nice and i'm thankful to go here after going to another university for summer. Air conditioning in all the dorms, not bad food, nice gym, good people, and FREE LAUNDRY IN 2013!!!
