Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I keep seeing reviews bashing the amount of activities to be done here as well as the faculty and this so far ahs puzzled me. So far in my personal experience at Florida Tech I have encountered friendly staff and faculty. I had even recieved help from security while trying to move a far too heavy object to my dorm from where I had picked it up originally thinking I could carry it myself. The teachers thus far have been friendly and have always left an open door to come and discuss any concerns as well as questions outside of class. Class work is challenging but with some time and effort is very manageable. The surrounding city does not offer much but there is a lot surrounding just a short car ride, bus ride, bike ride, or even walk away. The school is quite expensive but I personally feel in the end is worth it. I am still here for a good bit of time even with the accelerated programs so as any opinions change I will add or edit this post but so far I have easily had a positive experience in this school and would reccomend it to most anyone looking to come for engineering. The food is not the best but it's colelge and one cannot expect amazing food all the time. They value education here and will do a lot for those who ask for help and participate. Just don't be shy and get out and meet people. Even the international students are a blast when you take the time to get to know them even despite the slight language barrier and accents.
