a) Walden University charges the student's tuition full cost for several text books, and this is a forced issue (not optional). Further, most of the book we receive we don't even need, nor will we use. Yet we pay literally hundreds of dollars for them. I spoken to faculty about this issue with no resolve, I have even threatened to go to another school if they didn't allow me to purchase my own books. They declined.

This is the first case in my entire academic career where a University has forced books on their students, at full (insane) costs, and most of the books are irrelevant.

b) The tuition is MUCH more costly than the numbers they share on their website!!! My MS in Clinical Psyche degree was quoted at $23K and I'm now up to $40K in just two years!

c) There are NO teachers at Walden University, only GRADERS. What they do is check for things like: # of references/citations, and page length. That's about it. There is little to nothing ever mentioned about what is actually discussed by the students. In some courses I didn't even use references and still recieved A's. There is absolutely NO feedback from professors!!

MY OPINION: If you're trying to get a certificate in something or looking at just getting an extra degree in education, or humanities, something simple, then the online is about the same I imagine as it would be anywhere else. But if you're looking for a good psychology program, there are OTHER SCHOOLS ONLINE that are much better! Seek them out. More and more big name universities are offering online programs for graduate students. Do you're research! My final opinion on the school is that I got suckered/scammed. While I did learn from the program, it has been entirely my own efforts, doing my own research and drawing my own conclusions. Very disappointing and I will now be paying back horrible student loans for the next several years at least. How much does a student loan payment cost post graduation at Walden? Try $300x weekly = 15 years +
