Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated from the vocational nursing program in 2011. Staff made the course work challenging and at the time, I did not like, what I deemed as busy work. However, when taking NCLEX I then realized all of that "busy work" was needed to be successful. Aside from the cost, Kaplan was a good school for me personally. So much so that I am now in the RN program at the same school. My advice is to know that nursing is unlike other professions out there. The days of 4.0 GPA may or may not be out the window. If you want to keep a decent GPA, you really need to consider working very part time or not at all. Grades suffer when students think they can work and go to nursing school at the same time. Lastly, keep a positive attitude. Nursing school is no joke.
