You will get heat from people if you go to Akron and aren't an engineer. Disregard this. The school in general is constantly improving and I think it will continue to improve. My department, Communications, is actually really great. You do not hear much of it, but everyone at the TV station is nice and approachable, and the director is passionate and knows what will work. Yvonne Brown, on Community, went to Akron and did things for the TV station, as well as a producer for Revolution. Also has an alumnus that is a Disney Imagineer, and one who is in the page program at NBC (it's a big deal) along with producers and writers for numerous late night shows and the simpsons. Really underrated part of this school in my opinion.
