I didn't even know that I've read such a negative review on the college before. I'm glad I didn't get a business degree there. |
I'm sure you can easily learn all the necessary information about the business on the internet anyway. For example, while running a business, you need to appreciate forex affiliate offers and join an affiliate program to increase your income. I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't learn that in college, and now I recommend you read more about it. |
Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
Unless you fit into a specific clique (IE Someone with a laptop, someone who plays Pokemon or another trading card game or the smokers), do not expect students to be very welcoming. The student community is aloof at best and at worst, outright exclusionary. People are far too focused on themselves and how their peers perceive them. Students go to this school for only one of two reasons - as a stepping stone to a 4-year, or to just leech off the system and attend classes solely for financial aid. No one is really all that interested in being social. The math instructors at this school are, for the most part, some of the worst faculty in the school. I have been told by more than one instructor that if we students could go elsewhere and learn math at another school, we'd be better off - I tend to believe this. Most (not all) of the faculty in my experience has been lazy and only attempt doing half their job, while expecting greatness from their students. One instructor has been so bold as to refer to one of his former students as a "punk" and later this semester, told students who need rides to field trips that if they didn't have cars, that they would pay for all gas. This is a community college - who here has $300 for gas to go down to southern California? Most students don't - if they did, they'd have cars. It just seems to me like much of the faculty aims to hinder students any way they can. If you can go to another community college, please - avoid this school and especially this city like the plague.
