Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
ACU's school psychology program is a joke. Recently, there have been some faculty shifts and the current school psych faculty do not care about their students AT ALL. Favoritism is abundant. Students that should have failed out were carried through just so the university wouldn't have to reflect the loss in their attrition data and, more importantly, so they wouldn't lose the tuition money. Students that are less well liked are treated poorly and are denied opportunities- the professors act like middle school bullies. If you attend this program, keep your head down and you should be fine. Get ready to lose your mind when some slacker who doesn't even go to class winds up with the same grade as you do.Advice - if you want a school psychology degree, go somewhere else. Most students in the program are unhappy. If you are set on ACU, consider the counseling or clinical programs instead. Their faculty are much more interested in student development and are infinitely more available and willing to work with you to achieve your goals. Most school psych students wish they could transfer programs but this is not possible.
