Only go to Monmouth if you are a local. It is a commuter school. The only people who really have a great time at MU are the frats and sororities. Everyone else just goes to serve their four year sentence then leaves. It is a beautiful school but people are not friendly. Takes a while to make friends and I am a friendly person. The tuition money is spent on the landscaping. On a positive note, they have the most wonderful professors I have ever met. Oddly enough the professors are more likely to invite students to lunch and engage in a conversation with students than other students are. People are not very sociable. You will make friends only with the people in your department. It is a very small school so you will see all of the same people repeated. Oh and the athletes are given 100x more privileges than anyone else in the school.
Responses
responseFirst of all for a private institution Momouth has a ridiculously low tuition.
To me this is amazing because of it's extremely low endowment. It has one of the
Lowest endowments per person of any
Private institution in the country. When
Compared to other private institutions
In New Jersey Monmouth is particularly
Pathetic. Many private institutions in
New Jersey be they private secondary
Schools or universities have endowments in the hundreds of millions. What
Monmouth needs are some really wealthy
Alums who are ready and willing to make
Some unprecedented contributions.
Remember some schools and universities in New Jersey have in the past received 100 millions dollar donations - Right now
Monmouth lags so far behind other private
Institutions in the state it's not even funny.
