Let me put it simply, Curry College is terrible.

If you plan to visit Curry College during your college search, don't let them fool you with their bright purple flowers and perfectly trimmed shrubs. It's all an illusion. What lies behind those perfect flowers is 4 years of hell waiting for you.

When I first visited Curry, I was thrilled. The place was beautiful. The campus looked incredible, the dorms and buildings looked very nice, and they really sold me on their

5 miles from down town Boston
pitch. DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU.

Sure, the campus is close to the city, but do you know what is in between Curry and Boston? Take a look at a map. You will see that in order to go from Curry to Boston, you have to go through Mattapan, AKA "Murderpan" because of its high crime rate, Dorchester, and Roxbury. Those are not in anyway an area that you want to decide to take a walk through in order to get to the city, since freshman can't have cars.

As a freshman, they don't allow you to have cars on campus. But they tell you that you won't need one, because of their wonderfully worked shuttle system. THIS IS A LIE. The shuttles only run to 3 different locations: South Shore Plaza, Legacy Place, and Faneuil Hall. But here's the catch. The shuttles don't run every day, nor do they run throughout the entire day. If you decide you want to meet your friends in Boston on a Wednesday, too bad, the shuttle only runs to Faneuil Hall on Saturday's, and even on Saturday, the EARLIEST shuttle you can catch is at 5pm. The shuttle system is a joke. Don't buy into it.

The faculty here is great. Most of them are very helpful and very kind. This is the ONLY good thing about Curry College. The students here are the worst of the worst. You are either a part of one of two different groups here: the Pokemon nerds, or the arrogant, cigarette smoking party animals. The funny part about that is, there's NO parties! There is literally, and I mean literally nothing to do on campus. And there's nothing to do OFF campus unless you have a car to drive to Boston! Milton Massachusetts is a ghost town. There's virtually nothing around here to do. And because there's nothing around here to do, you end up inhaling second hand cig smoke everywhere you walk, because no one here has anywhere else to go.

Nearly 90% of the campus goes home on weekends or commutes during the week, so that leaves no one around to do anything, and leaves countless student's wishing to transfer. You will hear people complain about how much they hate it and how badly they want to transfer. I, myself, am one of those people.

The students here have no respect for each other. In my dorm building, which is brand new and referred to as the "nicest building on campus", the students show no respect to the other people or to their surroundings. The toilets are always clogged because of lazy people who don't flush, or because of people who think it's funny to purposely sabotage the toilets. In my 5 months here, there have been 2 bathroom floods, and countless broken toilets. I took a minute to post a note on the bathroom wall. It read: "Please flush the toilet. Be respectful of the others living here." Someone felt it would be funny to then write back, "F**k you, I bet you look like a F**king cancer kid. I'll do what I want F**got." Yeah, real respectful. Very kindhearted people that I live with.

Since there are never any parties on or off campus, I often find myself up a 2 AM listening to the people next door trying to make their own party in their room. It doesn't work for them, and it sure as heck doesn't work for me. I would ask them to kindly be quiet while I sleep, because I have class at 9 AM, but remember, they are the same people who told me via note to go F myself because I asked them to flush the toilet.

The place is terrible. Don't waste your money. Don't waste your time. I plan on transferring ASAP at the end of the year. I advise anyone reading this to avoid Curry College at all costs. You DO NOT want to go here and spend 4 years living in an environment that you WILL hate.
