It's the samford bubble. They push southern baptist evangelism and all of the students are exactly the same type of person. Most students are genuinely nice but can be quite judgmental if you aren't going to their bible studies or church groups. The undegrad core curriculum was a joke. i worked extra hard to excel in college and it was as easy as my 9th grade year. Some of the students quality of work/knowledge base was quite poor and I was left wondering who let them into college? Low standards were accepted and students moved on to higher level classes. I felt like my education was not as hard as other universities with 500+ auditorium classes but those classes are weed out courses. I liked the small class sizes and learned what I needed to.

Graduate school is a lot better. There is a lot more diversity and not as many air headed education majors complaining about making lesson plans and bulletin boards. Access to Birmingham was great but social life on campus stinks. Most students leave each weekend due to lack of things to do. I am going to be paying more that my mortgage to pay it off though. I don't see how education or other fields who do not have as great of an income can afford it.
