Major: Unknown (This Major's Salary over time)
Basically, the assigned advisors you get don't really help you. A lot of students end up registering themselves for class and not even speaking to their advisors. My advisor kind of screwed me over because she didn't inform me that there was a separate program for students who have my major and plan on transferring to another school; and she always tells me to take four classes. Some advisors really have no idea what they're doing and ultimately it hurts the students. As someone who didn't have much guidance in the college process I was kind of thrown into STCC hoping I would save money and get some help when I do make my decision to transfer. You really have to know what you're dong to succeed if you don't you're screwed. That's why a lot of students don't return. They feel like they're time and effort is leading them nowhere. That's also why it takes students 2+ years to graduate.
