The faculty in the counseling department is beyond rude. I have had multiple appointments where their only concern is writing your plans and records in a way which satisfies the school and in no way do they try and actually "counsel" you on what you should do or your plans in life. It is beyond disgusting how I was spoken to in my last appointment. I was literally in tears the minute I left the office. I was told that (quote)*"No one here cares what you want to do."*

This male counselor is not the first experience which I have had that was horrendous. With the exception of the ladies at the front desk, counselors in this department literally want nothing to do with actually connecting with the student body. I feel bad that this is the first impression that students who are thinking of attending Miramar have because it gives a bad name to the faculty as a whole. I have had some amazing teachers through SDCCD but have experienced hell in the counseling department.

I have no issues with any other department in the school- Financial Aid have always been helpful and the store employees are awesome. Just beware when dealing with counseling because I can tell you first hand that they are the ones who need counseling! sigh

Besides them, the campus is very pretty.
