Curry College

Curry is just terrible. I know there is no such thing as the perfect school but this place is crazy. I have never seen so many kids on academic probation before it is ridiculous. I am no genius or Albert Einstein but I do genially want to learn and get a great education. But I know three kids who received a 0 GPA in their first semester and are still allowed to be at school. I'm sorry but if you have a 0 you should just leave because clearly you have no desire to learn or do ANYTHING. But because they have money they get to stay. The courses are a joke. For example, in my writing class we have not written a single essay yet and we are approaching week 8 in the second semester. My parents pay all this money for me to not be challenged for me to be bored. The social scene is awful, 90% of the people on campus go home every weekend. One time I was the only person on my floor who was on campus for the weekend. Also, the first week of the second semester I was walking around campus and I saw about 25 kids packing up and leaving for the weekend. We only had 3 days of school because of snow days and our "Move back in day" was on a Monday?what is the rush? I live almost 4 hours away so I cannot run home every weekend so school gets very lonely. I'm in PAL but I don't feel like I need it because the school work is not challenging and we do not do anything in my classes anyway. Again, my parents money is being completely wasted. As I said before every schools has its flaws and it will not be all rainbows and sunshine but everyone deserves to have a decent education (or at least get their moneys worth) and have the opportunity to a social life. I am currently searching schools to transfer because I am very unhappy here.
