I am proud to say that I am a native of Birmingham Alabama. My families roots were a stablished during the founding of the state. Many of my ansestors as well as present family members have and went on to achieve, defend and honor there home land. I protect my family name with great honor. I love my southern heritage and moral beliefs. Football is a national holiday and anyone of southern roots understands "Friday Night Lights". Growing up in prestigious Birmingham neighborhood can appreciate and understand the importance for a superior education to better the community and also gain great knowledge in the hope of a better society and over all life. I have watch many things change throughout my twenty years of living in Birmingham some for the better and the worse. My Great Grandfather attended Birmingham - Southern College And the family tradition continued. Both my parent were thrilled and supportive of me getting excepted but on the other hand skeptical of attending the colleges read sent troubles. Since I was a alumni of the college I felt that I needed to honor and continue my families legacy. So I attended my freshman semester. It took some adjusting at first. I was happy to be attending of my four classes the work load was palatable. I enjoyed both of my fall , exonerations term and spring terms. Next was my sophomore fall semester. I had noticed now that I was we'll adjusted to college life. That there was many things missing at the college. Some of my family being alumni were concerned of how the college had changed and for this particular matter for the worse. Many of the academic building need some serious updating to jepp up with the modern world. The classrooms still had chalk boards and lacked thecnology severely. Yet they market the college of being one of the best. The question that I ask how can you be the best without having technology? The liybrary is outdated and smells of old book scent. The furniter is old and worn. The staff members are snooty and self absorbed. The biggest excitement is the college has updated there lass at jet printers. My uncle who attended there said while visiting "this place looks the same as it did back when I attended". So just as estimation it is at least twenty - one years old since it has been updated. I would look at all of your options.
