I have live in a few diffrent areas within Alabama while I was growing up. I went to a private day school with a small student body. The schools focus was to prepare us being the students for college. In which in my own opinion they did a wonderful job. I I had no trouble with the transition. On the other hand now looking back I wish I would have chosen another college. I can't say that everything I experienced was negative but I want to warn new students of what it is really like. The student body are snooty, unfriendly and depressed. What do I mean? For an example no one smiles, or look up when they are walking around campus, they state down toward the ground. Which I find strange. It is true that most of the student body come from the middle to upper middle economic family backgrounds. Which make sense of the school costing about 40,000 thousand without any type of financial support. I come from a upper middle class household both my parents work as professionals. Back when I was looking at schools to attend they like the idea of me getting a rounded education which is great. If the particular school offers what the say they do. I feel as a person of having financial resources that I was taken advantage of now that I have complete my third year. The school has no technology they still write with chalk. The cafeterias food is weak they serve the rejected organges that are more brown than anything else. The choices are extremely limited. The staff that work in the cafertira are rude and disrespectful they don't smile or talk back to you . The only other option on campus is Subway which is good but not for everyday. The college is in desperate need of a coffee house. Also the landscape around campus is overgrown and not maintained they have a major problem with stray cats that can be seen all around. I guess the cats are there to keep the mice away. Be prepared to see a few coaroaches around the campus. They only treat the bug problem if they have to otherwise you just learn to deal with them.
