I am a freshman at the U and i have to say, I LOVE it! This year has probably been full of some of the most rewarding, exciting experiences, and both the academics and social life have been fabulous. It is a big university, meaning what you put into it is what you will get out, but if you go out and let yourself try some of the many opportunities available, something will catch your interest. The weather can be daunting, as well as those darn crime alerts stating any little crime that happens near campus (it is near a city so crime is bound to occur) but the city life makes up for it! Besides the stellar academics and classes (so many choices!), one of my favorite parts of the university is the fact that the downtown is only a bus ride away! Seriously, between the Mall of America and downtown Minneapolis, my friends and I probably go on an adventure at least once a week. There are so many other great things I could go on about, but basically I wouldn't trade this school for any other.
