I absolutely LOVE UNCG. I graduated from UNCG in 2012 and I honestly miss it. UNCG is very diverse, and because of that, I felt as though I could be myself. A lot of the negative comments about UNCG are about the social life, and it is true that a lot of the students go home for the weekend. During my freshman year, my group of friends were my social life and I had a ball! If there is nothing to do on campus, Greensboro has clubs, parties, and events that typically go on from Wednesday-Saturday. Also, if you can't find anything on campus, drive or ride the bus to NCAT because they ALWAYS have something to do, if that's your type of scene. That was one thing I liked. I was able to enjoy UNCG's quietness when I needed it, but could go right down the street to NCAT if I wanted to party. Now don't get me wrong, UNCG had some good parties/events as well, NCAT was just an alternative.

The professors here are great. I only had a problem with one, and that was my spanish professor. We just had some miscommunication about assignments. Other than that, I loved all of my professors. The education I received was well worth the money. I love how diverse the professors are, especially in the sociology department. My professors even went as far as to give visual examples on some of the things we learned. For example, with the human development department, we went to an assimilation event on campus that was set-up to show us the differences in how low class, middle class, and upper class neighborhoods are. Its one thing to hear about it, and another to actually get a visual experience.

The amount of free stuff we got from all the events held on campus were great as well. You pay tuition and fees of course, but its worth it because the activities board gives you food, shirts, shades, street signs, license plates, etc during the events that you don't pay for up front because you've paid tuition and fees.

UNCG was a great experience for me, and if I could do it all over again, I would!
