St. Martin's has many merits, and few faults. While St. Martin's is a rather expensive private school, there are so many opportunities for scholarships, grants, and work study. Most people end up paying about the same or a touch more than going to the nearby state school, but there are less tacked on charges(the nearby state school charges over $100 a year for parking, at St Martin's its free). Classes are small, which is a pro as well as a con. Upper division course offerings are limited, which can be difficult on scheduling, but small classes allow for deeper exploration into concepts and a great community feel. While academics not intensely rigorous, there is plenty of opportunity to delve deeply into subject matter and gain a lot of what is offered, given the proper self motivation. For those that struggle in some areas, there are lots of student services, from a writing center to tutoring, all included in tuition. While it may not be a party school or an Ivy league class school, St Martin's is a great choice for higher education.
