College is what you make it. To tell you the truth, if I would've done things differently, I would've started my college career at KSU. Kennesaw State provides individuals with the tools to become successful. My recommendation is to have an idea what you want to do and connect learning to real world scenarios. My college experience was non-traditional, meaning I worked and went to school at the same time.I was of traditional college age but the fact that I worked a full time job and went ot school full time gave me a different perspective on the value of education. Although I was an average student, I got the most from my learning because I was able to apply my knowledge on a daily basis. The resources are available at KSU. Use them. Go to career services during your freshman year and inquire about co-op and internships. If those aren't available, start your own business. I had a travel agency when I was at KSU. Bottom-line, be creative, find ways to apply your knowledge. That's how you get the most out of your education. It's not waiting for somebody to give you an opportunity. Take it.
