This school feels like a high school. Most of the staff are rude and unhelpful when you really need help. If you have any learning disabilities or issues at all you will not get the help you need through the ADA office. In fact, they just tell you how bad others have it and stick up for the instructors. There are very few instructors who are helpful and nice but there are a few good ones in the business department. Carroll Community College needs to hire better English and Math instructors for sure because I didn't not have one good one and many other people I talked with did not like their teachers either. My biggest problem is the lies and discrimination that the school has when it comes to getting help. Unless you have a physical disability they can see, they have no respect and will not help. Teachers are not trained correctly on how to deal with students who learn differently. Trying to fight an unjust and unfair grade doesn't work either because the higher ups (the chairs, deans, directors) pretend to care but take the side of the teacher, even if they are wrong. This school seems to only be a good school to start at if you are working towards a nursing degree. If I could have switched to somewhere else I would have. Luckily I finished this school and I am headed to a real university where I can be treated like the adult I am, not a child. Pick another school if you want to actually learn something, this place is horrible. Be careful on your math teachers as well there are NO good ones. Just trying disappointed in this school and I was proud to graduate but not from Carroll.
