My undergraduate experience was very rewarding, memorable, and I wouldn't change it for nothing. I was accepted to several bigger, flagship universities, but I picked TSU b/c I thoroughly enjoyed the family-like atmosphere and the overall mystic of TSU. Most of the faces look like me and we shared many similar experiences. However, I still found TSU to be very diverse. I've encountered so many students from all around this planet with unique experiences and cultures which in turn made me more knowledgeable about the world around me. At TSU, you'll grow intellectually and as individual if you go with the right intentions (I'm a living witness).

Some Freshman Advice: Be one of the leaders on campus, there are so many student organizations on campus that will help with that. Avoid excess partying, you will be inundated with so many party invitations but you have to be mature enough to know when to say "No I'm staying in studying" … besides you came to college for a degree not to party it up like you're in a 24/7 reality show. Please utilize all the campus resources for resume building, studying help, internship help, mental stress help etc. (you're paying for it). Surround yourself with positive/trust-worthy/goal-oriented classmates and please know everything that glitters isn't gold … most of the "popular students" you'll see on campus priorities are out of order and not worth trying to befriend (I lived it). And have some school spirit, go to the football, basketball games … show some support for YOUR SCHOOL and try to bond with your fellow Tigers. ALL ROADS LEAD TO TSU!!!
