When I went to this school back in 2008 it was very run down and the classes were overfilled with students. I had previously attended one of the local community colleges ( I should have stayed there, but I wanted a quick way to finish my degree. In the beginning I enjoyed the classes because they were hands-on and I was grasping the learning material very well. I studied hard and managed to maintain "A"'s. However, I remember spending a lot of my time studying in order to past tests. This was okay and expected in college. I loved the labs and interacting with the animals. The instructors seemed very competent, but at times unwilling to discipline their students when they got out of hand. There were too many instances where students started to argue and the instructor would just sit back until it was over. I remember him telling us "I am not a babysitter." I think that too many students displayed immature and inappropriate attitudes in the classroom, it felt a lot like high school all over again. I ended up leaving because of a number of issues I had with the school. I felt like I wasn't getting a quality education with all the drama going around. I eventually went back to study at a regionally accredited university and was able to transfer the credits that I earned at Anthem College to my new school. My only regret was wasting my time and money at this school. I am glad I made the switch and will be graduating from a well-known university in AZ.
