Came to this school very open minded and excited to start college in a new city. Unless you are in a sorority or frat, it is almost impossible to make decent friends or be apart of anything. I have never had a problem making friend before in my life, I even won best personality in high school. When I came to FGCU I was baffled out how snooty and unfriendly college kids could be. There is a lot of immaturity and none of the faculty office employees are helpful in any way. Its taken me forever to transfer and get my AA due to the lack of communication and help from the staff. I have met some amazing professors here, but that is probably the only plus about this school. I don't even want to begin talking about how boring the town is…For a college town, everyone is 60+ years old and everything closes before 10pm. I would never recommend this school to anyone.
