Wake Tech is the perfect example of "you get what you pay for". The instructors are not very good and often the difficulty of your course will be from teaching yourself. The math department in particular is a joke. Many people fail out of simple classes because the department (that outsources a lot of its teaching to online programs) designs things to set a student up for failure. They will work you through a math system by practicing the more simple versions of it, then slam you with the most complicated forms on a test with no warning. Of course the rest of the faculty aren't winners either. Finance office is a mess, the learning/math center tutors are arrogant, unhelpful, and rude. About the only employees at Wake Tech who are worth their paycheck are the coffee shop baristas. If I had to do it all over again I would have applied elsewhere instead of spending the past few semesters at Wake Tech.
