Major: Chemical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
Had an excellent experience at FIT in the Chemical Engineering department. Academic-wise I learned a lot, was adequately challenged and did not find the coursework to be unnecessarily difficult. There were times of high stress, but overall it was a good environment. Hardest classes are labs, especially chemistry ones. I graduated with a 3.30, with internship and coursework experience and was offered 5 job offers with great salaries! So I was very satisfied with that aspect.Socially, I had a lot of fun freshmen year and always had people to hang out with in Robert's Hall. Mid-way through sophomore year I realized that you had to put yourself out there to have a social life when you aren't living in the dorm style housing. I found the clubs very approachable then and also made friends with lots of classmates. If you go to parties and campus events, it is easy to have a great social life. Plus there are lot of fun things to do around with the beach and Orlando. I had a great experience at this school and did not regret my choice at all.
