First of all, the quality of students accepted is extremely low, and only getting worse. There were a few students I had classes with who I'm pretty sure were mildly mentally retarded. As a result, the classes are incredibly easy. I consider myself a bright guy, and I had a 3.4 GPA at my previous university. I guess I'm brighter than I thought, because when I got to ENC, my GPA hit 4.0 and never dropped below 3.9.Some of the professors here do care and try their best, but it's an uphill battle for them. You can tell that the school administration doesn't care much about academics, and is shifting their focus to diversity and cultural clubs. On graduation day, it wasn't even announced who the valedictorian was, and instead they had some guy from a cultural club give a speech. I've often wondered if I was the valedictorian, as I was one of only three people who graduated Summa Cum Laude. I guess I'll never know, although it wouldn't have been much of an honor coming from this institution.I transferred to ENC my junior year, and found that it was so cliquey it was impossible for me to have a social life. The dorms are in a terrible state. The food is terrible. You can't have the opposite sex in your room. You're required to go to chapel twice a week. I could go on and on. Please listen to everybody on this site, and stay far away from ENC.
