Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
Be aware that if you are not a complete genius or work part time, the science program is difficult. I started as a Medical Laboratory Science major and the courses were quite challenging but I guess it depends on how many hours you have to study. Many people can be mean and barely talk to you especially if you are a commuter. It's hard to make friends as a commuter because you aren't involved in the same activities etc. Continuing, the parking lots are horrendous after a snowstorm. Make sure to come at least an hour early to find a parking spot because without notice they will tell the residential students that they can park in the commuter lots but will never tell them to move. The walkways are horrible and solid ice so if you have a disability, URI practically says it sucks to be you. The classrooms are falling apart and some of the rooms have not been updated ever probably since the university has been built. If you aren't fit, getting anywhere around campus takes more than 10 minutes and forget about walking to your car in the commuter lots, they are all about a mile or more away (the bus system sucks). There are some nice professors though and not all people are mean just be wary.
