When I first graduated Lti I wasn't impressed with my starting salary. I thought the school was pretty expensive at the time. All Lti really did was give me the basic skill set to get my foot in the door at a good company. After working in the field 10 yrs I make 100000+ fixing trucks. It's definitely hard work and technology is constantly changing and it takes continuous training to keep up. Looking back 24000 isn't a bad investment for school and you can't expect to know everything when you graduate after 10 yrs of working in the field and countless hours of dealer and engine manufacturer training I still feel lost more then you would think. I don't see any reason for someone who made school a priority to be unemployed after graduation. I feel very secure at my job and don't think I would have any problems finding another in the field if needed.
