UD is great. Honestly every single person is unbelievably friendly and welcoming! I came here knowing nobody, and literally within the first day I made about 20 new friends. This isn't a football school, but we do take basketball quite seriously, you might know us from making the Elite Eight in March Madness last year. The academics here are great and you can tell the professors actually care about the students. Career fairs here are packed with hundreds of business for everyone of every major. The campus is nice, and very safe. I've never personally heard of anybody in danger since being here. The cops are extremely cool with the students, and NEVER try to get them in trouble. As far as the social scene goes… It's awesome! There's more clubs here than you can possibly imagine, and everyone joins! Even though there isn't much around the area of the school, you definitely will not be bored. Pretty much every weekend the whole school goes out to the "ghetto", which is really just housing for the seniors. Everyone parties together and the upperclassmen welcome everyone in open arms. The parties are fun, but not super crazy. Some people drink, some don't. Nobody is pressured to drink and you can DEFINITELY have an amazing time even if your sober, I would know cause I personally don't drink that much. This school is really unlike any other. Community is the cliche word around here, but it's true. People are like a family here, not just ignorant a-holes looking to get f*cked up and goof off. And since we are religious here, the line "party Saturday, church Sunday" cannot be any more true. I really recommend this school to anyone who wants to be surrounded with good kids, good teachers, and good academics
