I came to Kearney because I was apart of their volleyball team. They're sports programs and facilities are about up to D1 facilities, they are very nice and we get very spoiled with a lot of stuff they give us. Kearney on the other hand has NOTHING to do. Coming from a midsize town, I found it very hard to do nothing but party on the weekends. The school's "motto" is you can't spell drunk without UNK. and that is so true. If you don't party that much, this school isn't for you, because living in the middle of Nebraska, you can't go out and do much. Some teachers are great, but for your general ed classes, they give you the brand new teachers who have no idea what they are talking about. Their "portal" classes are a waste of time and actually dropped my grade point average because it was so much busywork. So, If you aren't from a small town or if you aren't from nebraska, DO NOT COME HERE.
