Date: Mar 05 2015
Major: Undecided (This Major's Salary over time)
I am leaving Iona College in May, 2015. I can't wait.

Some of my classes were maxed out with 35 students. The teacher were Adjuncts - underpaid adjuncts - that left after class.

Instead of building a new dorm, the President and his administrators should fix the current broken items and resource tools his current students need to use. We are paying his big salary, and all the salaries. We are also asked to pay high fees, and get no support.

Computers in the Academic Rudin Center are left unrepaired, and are not replaced. The bathrooms are not clean. The keyboards, on the computers are so dirty, in many cases.

No-one cares. It's very sad.

Why build a new dorm, and look to the future, when the current students are left stuck to work in overcrowded classes, with Adjunct teachers, understaffed departments, under-paid workers, and many disgruntled employees?

Iona didn't and doesn't live up to "Move the World" so I'm moving on and away from Iona.

The President should cut his BIG annual salary and pay the faculty members more, that work with the kids each day, and instead of building new buildings to house future students, he should be more concerned with providing needed support services to the current enrollees.

I'm disheartened with Iona College - like the other raters wrote - DO YOUR HOMEWORK - DON'T JUST LISTEN TO THE TOUR GUIDES. Request results, ask current students how they feel, ask if they are ALL getting internships, jobs on campus.

Take a look at the resumes, that are approved to be posted on-line, by Iona's Career Development office; they have typos and grammar errors.

I'm happy I'm moving on because Iona sure isn't Moving the World.
