Major: Language - French/Spanish/etc. (This Major's Salary over time)
This college has a long way to go, in terms of its quality of French-language education, to call itself "fully bilingual". This is just a marketing ploy to attract students to an underfunded and ill-reputed institution like Glendon. The percentage of students practicing their second language outside class is around 25%, which clearly shows how dedicated the college is in so called "bilingual education". Obviously, they failed in that sense. Also, the students are snobby and self-entitled..maybe because they think going to a smaller school means they're special and can be who they are (by that, I mean the overwhelming proportion of students dressing up in their nicest clothes for a 3 hour class since what they wear to class is more important than actually learning what is taught in those 3 hours).Do not come here unless you want to continue your high school education…. because the school looks and feels like one. Also, course registration is a pain and the variety of options is incredibly limited. The French as a Second Language (FRSL) courses are a joke, like what a few other posters said. You're better off using Duolingo to learn French (or any other language) because you aren't paying $600 for each FRSL course. Do yourself a favour and apply somewhere else. Lastly……no one has ever heard of Glendon, and if they did, they will eventually find out it's part of York University - an even worse institution.
