I graduated Harding and had some of the complaints you do. The rules and student handbook (still are ) ridiculous. Professors forget who you are after you graduate and do not see $ to the school from you. |
I hope you have a great experience at your next school. as part of the trailer park trash families, the staff and their families are and were exceptional to me. |
I loved Harding U, like the teachers and professors, some of the grads and students are the most socially and conversationally awkward students you will ever meet. You are Church of christ or going to hell. |
Most of us feel Harding Uinversity IS for everyone. Most of the conversations we have with students that want to return or ask for consideration, is revising the rules of the student handbook. I found myself thinking and providing the same thing you did, At that time H.U. was a great choice for me. |

With all the purchases and hacking in computers your response was lost or misplaced. Your daughter DOES belong in college and those feelings and comments are the response of the alumni, staff and teaching faculty. Those comments were wrong and apologize for your hurt. Examine what subjects she is interested in and has livelihood knowledge and interest in and we would love to talk. |
Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
I would not recommend Harding for students with depression, anxiety or other learning disabilities. Some of the professors don't recognize these areas as a reason to give modifications and in some studies as in science you will be weeded out. My daughter could not finish there because of her anxiety and had too seek counseling off campus because a counselor on campus told her that some people just shouldn't go to college. She tried to work with the disabilities office but it was only partially helpful. Another science professor pretty much said" are you still here? Why haven't you given up ?" So even though 20 plus years ago it was a good school for me, now it is a better fit for type A/honor students. So depending on your area of study research the school carefully before deciding.
