radford university is poorly managed. as a second degree adult commuter student I can honestly say that I have been terribly dissapointed with the quality of facilities, computer labs, and available parking (which is non-existant). Like most universities located in old cities, the university is surrounded by ghettos and slums. the town sprung up around the school and without it bringing in students and money, i am sure the town would not even exist. the university puts money into hiring too many adjunct faculty, which could be far better spent on building a parking garage, improving its crumbling roads and sidewalks, as well as its facilities. Many of the computer labs are very out dated. It is clear Radford gets much less money than tech from the state budget. sad school. even as a back up there are better choices available
