Major: Interior Design (This Major's Salary over time)
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach, CA in 2011. Interior Designers Institute has over 25 years of academic excellence. When I was looking for a design school I looked for schools that are fully accredited by CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) Accredited programs assure the public that the design education prepares students to be responsible, well-informed, skilled professionals. Interior Designers Institute is accredited.I looked for a school that had a faculty of professional architects and designers who are practicing in the field. The Interior Designers Institute has just that. Students are professionally trained to create a functional and quality interior environments.I looked for a school that encourages its students to become actively involved in the design community. IDI does just that. IDI gives its students the opportunity to participate in Noah's Arc, Habitat for Humanity, Chairs for Charity, Designers Runway to name a few. I was on the Student ASID Board and proud to say our team was fortunate to win ASID Chapter of the Year and won awards during our term for outstanding designs in the Noah's Arc Project and Designers Runway.Since graduating I am a design consultant and I can honestly say that the education, internships, and my volunteer work in our design community has made me extremely prepared to work in the design field.
