This college, although complained about, has been an extremely positive experience for me. People on this campus are very friendly, both professors and students. The campus is small but this has never been a noticeable problem for me and it is nice to see friendly faces when walking around campus. Professors are very helpful and some of the classes are smaller than my high-school classes, which is nice because the professors know who you are and are truly invested in your education. One thing I wish I could change about this place is the food. While the food is not terrible here, it lacks variety and the options are not always the healthiest. Washington is not the best area but the campus is pretty safe. The campus is about 20 to 30 minutes away from Pittsburgh and there are shuttles you can use if you don't have a car. The course work is challenging here- especially the sciences. Professors really are aimed at you having a full understanding of the material versus just memorizing the subject. This is nice but depending on what high school you attended may take some getting used to. The liberal arts education is very present as you will look at the same issues from multiple perspectives. Weekends are fun, some more than others, but if you are looking to attend large parties this may not be the place for you. Getting in is not terribly hard as long as you have decent grades and a okay ACT score. The college gave me very good scholarship finical aid. Altogether so far, I have really enjoyed my experience here.
