SPU is really helpful to traditional freshmen, but not transfer students. If you did running start, or are transferring from another university make sure that you know the system on your own and be prepared to aggressively advocate for yourself. It is hard to build more personal relationships with staff as a transfer student, which can cause other issues (for example making it harder to get into a class or do independent study).
