Oberlin is a very high quality school, but speaking in terms of my time there- the Conservatory is truly wonderful. I won't lie, when I was there, the courses were hard, we worked a lot and you're held to a very high standard of work. Once I graduated and went into the "real world" I realized how valuable all my time there was. Oberlin has a good reputation and wherever I went, that name on my resume never failed to impress potential employers and colleagues. The Alumni network is phenomenal and being an Obie connects people in a way that is just amazing. Everywhere I go, I meet Obies and we instantly become friends! Some of the best years of my life. I will have to say that if I was entering college now, the rising tuition at Oberlin would definitely impact my decision, so best of luck for those scholarships.
