Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I DO NOT recommend going to the Rapid City National American University campus. The staff (NOT including instructors) is rude and treats you like a number. It is run more like a business than a school. I am currently enrolled in a different state university that has 10x the amount of students and I am treated so much better. I get answers right away to all my questions and concerns with friendliness. Staff at NAU is not on the same page when it comes to financial aid and transcripts, they all give different answers and WRONG ones at that. Nursing graduates are not guaranteed a job out of school as are the graduates from other states schools because of the reputation that NAU has. A good school to me is one that you are not afraid to call or stop in an office to discuss a concern you may have. As a student paying a high tuition rate, you should not have to wait weeks and call to leave messages several times for an answer to one simple question. The phones are never answered and emails are never replied to.
