If you're not a native Minnesotan, I would not go to this school. I came from out of state and just felt completely out of place. Maybe I just had bad luck finding the right people, but Minnesotans tend to have this attitude that they're better than you and know more than you do about everything no matter what.

Also, it gets RIDICULOUSLY COLD. I'm talkin' freakin' -10F with a windchill of -30F and you have to wait for the campus connector and walk to class in that. They do not cancel class if it's too cold.

I had a big mix of professors. Some were incredibly helpful and sweet and understanding. Others I could barely understand because English was not their first language and they had a very heavy accent. Others didn't seem to know what they were teaching. And some were straight up rude. I had one teacher that kept calling me out for no reason.

Also, beware of the darkness and coldness if you're prone to mental health disorders. I get very depressed from the lack of light and warmth, but also feeling out of place. And I am a giant introvert and could not find a space that was just my own. If privacy is a big thing for you, DO NOT GET A ROOMMATE. Lower fees is not worth sacrificing your mental health.

Basically, if you are not a native Minnesotan, this is probably not the place for you.
