Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
Like any school, SDSM&T is what you make it. Opportunities are tremendous if they are taken advantage of. Class sizes are small and the Professor, not a TA, teaches and knows you by name. Cost is low and starting pay in engineering is very good. Plus, you are Rapid City. The city offers variety. Free outdoor concerts in the summer. It's a tourist area, so there are lots to do. If you like the outdoors, the Badlands are to the East and the Black Hills are to the west. Plenty of places to get away and relax at zero cost. Plenty of student organizations on campus can help you get involved with whatever you are interested in. It's an Engineering school. The homework is hard. You'll be challenged. The variety of people is more than you'd expect. 60% of the students are from outside South Dakota. That is a testament to the low cost and high value of an SDSM&T education offers.Children of alumni pay in-state tuition!
