I had an excellent experience here. It was a decent education without the rah-rah bullshit. College is always what you make of it. Living in Downtown Denver is sweet (not like DU Denver…like…real Denver)and there are a ton events on and off campus. I got a pretty solid job in my industry about 6 months after graduating and I am now in graduate school.I never had an issue with financial aid/faculty/staff. Everyone was very accommodating. A note - the bar is set pretty low as far as admissions goes…so you get some people in your gen-ed courses. There are some pretty ridiculous and/or have some issues that you wouldn't see (as much) somewhere like a more selective CSU—which I also attended, briefly. Personally, I enjoy oddities sometimes, so it was annoying at worst for me. It's all about where you want to live and what your personality is like. I'm not a frat boy type guy or super interested in attending NCAA games… so a commuter, lesser-known school was perfect for me. The price was right too, at the time.
