I am a transfer student. I came to VSU in the spring of 2013 after spending a semester at ODU. Virginia State has grown a lot over the years and has developed into a nice small college. I feel safe and at home on-campus, I made a lot of friends because the people are generally very friendly here. Sorry not sorry but if you have a problem with making friends with students here as a student; the issue most likely lies with you. It doesn't make sense to blame a university for a student being rude. That is the person's fault and their parents. There are always going to be "mean" people anywhere, if you go to college expecting a perfect world you need a reality check. Furthermore, I love that I receive emails every day about various scholarship, leadership and career opportunities. I feel if I failed here it would be my fault because there is a lot available and offered; one just has to take advantage. I wish I came here first. ODU was dirty and dangerous.
